Statement on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision

Today’s announcement from the U.S. Supreme Court has pushed women’s health care in our state back to 1849. Wisconsin doctors will be held to the orders of a 173 year old law, unable to do what is in the best interests of their patients.

This week Governor Evers called a special session to prevent this terrible outcome, and the legislature failed to do its job. While the Democrats of the Assembly showed up to protect the women of Wisconsin, the Republicans failed to even show up for debate.

We need to elect legislators that will show up to work and will fight for the medical rights of all Wisconsinites. I will show up and work to protect these rights when I am in the Assembly.
